Kids in the Kitchen 2

‘Barbarian Night’ for Taco Tuesday. No cutlery, hands on, make your own, eat like a barbarian! Kids love using their hands.

Masa Harina Flour Tortilla’s

tacos
2 Cups Masa Harina
1 – 1-1/2 Cups Warm Water
Tsp salt

Mix all together adding water slowly. Not too wet not too dry.
Cover bowl with wet cloth, leave to sit for an hour
Roll into balls. roll out into tortilla’s between two baking sheets
In a hot dry pan, fry for 30sec-1 min, flip and fry for 30 sec.
Place on plate in under damp cloth to keep warm and soft

*Taco’s*
Heat oven to 200c

Drape Tortilla’s over a oven rack bar each
Bake for 10 mins (watch)

Fill with an array of raw and cooked vegetables, meat of choice.

*Tortilla Chips*
(for pre cooked tortillas)
Heat Coconut Oil in Pan
Fry Tortillas individually in pan until crispy
Place on paper towel and sprinkle with sea salt
Break into pieces

(for non-cooked)
Use a cookie cutter and cut rounds or any shape of rolled tortillas
Fry in Pan as above.

Make Nacho’s, Eggs and Avo toppings, let the kids run wild in the kitchen creating

** tortillas are great for lunches too.
